OVERVIEW
Sushi Wadatsumi is a MICHELIN-starred Edomae-style sushi-ya located in K11 Musea in Tsim Sha Tsui, offering a Ginza-level omakase experience without the intimidation often associated with high-end sushi. The restaurant is helmed by Chef Andy Lee, whose team brings decades of expertise in traditional Japanese sushi craftsmanship.
The counter is crafted from a single 300-year-old Japanese cypress tree, creating an intimate, warm atmosphere where diners can watch the chefs at work. The service is attentive and professional, with chefs explaining each piece of fish as it is served—often accompanied by a “fish book” to help diners identify and appreciate what they are enjoying.
The cuisine focuses on the finest seasonal seafood flown in from Japan, served on expertly seasoned red vinegar rice. Signatures include the kegani (horsehair crab) chawanmushi, buri (yellowtail) sashimi, local octopus slow-cooked for three hours with mustard seeds, shima-aji (striped jack), botan ebi, and otoro—described by one reviewer as having a “fresh ham, long finish”.
THE LUNCH DEAL
Sushi Wadatsumi’s lunch omakase is widely regarded as excellent value for a MICHELIN-starred sushi experience. The lunch course is priced at approximately HK$500–800 per person (10% service charge applies), significantly less than the dinner omakase.

WHY IT’S A GREAT DEAL
Dinner at Sushi Wadatsumi for the full omakase experience is significantly more expensive. The lunch omakase, priced at HK$500–800, offers the same MICHELIN-starred kitchen, the same premium seasonal seafood, and the same Edomae-style craftsmanship—for a fraction of the dinner price. One reviewer called it their “best omakase experience in Hong Kong” and noted that the lunch menu is “really well priced”.
